Action is informed by memory, and so it is often critical to get the details of a memory right. Nevertheless, people often get them wrong, and in predictable ways. My primary areas of interest concern memory decisions, memory errors, and the influence of emotions like anger, suspense, and threat on cognitive functioning. My collaborators and I have pursued some of these topics in the context of eyewitness memory and identification.
